SCIENCE AND AYURVEDA

Ayurveda is the first science to find the therapeutic value of plants. Indeed 40% of today's allopathic medicines are derived from plants!. Every plant contains phytochemicals and most of them are alkaloids. They work on targeted human tissue and treat the disease like any other modern medicine drug, but in a natural way. Most of the present day Ayurvedic medicines under go clinical studies including animal studies on albino rats, guinea pigs to identify any adverse effects and to establish toxicity profile. Clinical studies include double blind and single blind tests to know a efficacy and safety of medicine in human usage. Most of the biochemistry and biotechnology departments of various universities are working on plants to identify phyto-chemicals which can cure many diseases which are impossible to conventional systems.

No magic, no philosophy, no power pills

Ayurveda is a purely scientific system. It has its own classical theories but at the same time its clinical efficacy can be tested on present day scientific lines on-par with any other allopathic drug. Its pharmaco-dynamics and pharmaco-kinetics are clear and well established. Ayurveda never promise powers and magic pills or tablets. Every Ayurvedic medicine has to follow the alkaloid content standardization, species standardization according to GMP and API norms.
